My name is Aaron Vick I am the owner of The Brand of Basketball.  Over the past 20 years, I have had the pleasure of coaching girls’ and boys’ basketball teams at all different skill levels.

My experience includes, but not limited to:

  • Fundamental development
  • Coaching 3A-6A in metro and rural areas
  • Office and defense strategy
  • Proven practice plans
  • Team building
  • Cultivating a positive environment on and off the court
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Mentorship
  • Fundraising

My key accomplishments include, but not limited to:

  • Qualified for State as a head and assistant head coach for 12 years
  • 2017 CHSCA all-state game girls’ coach
  • Implementation of “Mindset” program
  • Created and facilitated youth session program teaching 1st – 5th grade basketball fundamentals
  • 2 5A/6A State Championships at Grandview HS

Basketball is a huge part of my life.  I played basketball during middle and high school in Hugo, Colorado and graduated with my Bachelor’s in Science in Recreation Management at UNC of Greeley.

My coaching career started at Milliken Middle School.  I then moved to Parker where I volunteered as a coach for Parker Recreation.  I coached for the Ponderosa girls’ basketball program when the head coach from Sheridan High School asked me to join his staff.  I served as a head JV/C team coach for 4 years before transitioning to head varsity coach.  A growing family and a move prompted me to get more involved in our community, Elizabeth School District.  I served as the assistant varsity and head JV coach for the girls’ basketball program at Elizabeth High School for 4 years.

In 2021, I took a year break from coaching and my wife, and I decided to build a half-court basketball gym facility and to start The Brand of Basketball youth skills training business where we focus on development.

I currently hold the coaching position of Head JV Girls at Grandview high school.
I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and camping, watching sports, and spending time with friends and my wife and two kids, Khloe (12) and Kaden (8).
